Samsung perfectly condensed its new way of being in under 1 minute

Many people might not realize this, but 2024 has been a very special year for Samsung, as the company slowly but surely pivoted to carving itself a new identity. You're not sure what that means? Check out this new one-minute video Samsung just published.

Purposefully titled “Love is in the AIr,” Samsung's latest video encapsulates the company's new vision and direction, which are based on two cornerstones: AI and SmartThings / Internet of Things. Check it out below.

Indeed, the letters “AI” in Samsung's title are not capitalized by mistake. As far as Samsung is concerned, Galaxy AI has been at the core of its mobile experience throughout 2024.

More so, AI has also become a bigger part of its home electronics and appliances product lineups. In fact, Samsung has never before put so much emphasis on both its mobile and home appliance divisions simultaneously.

For the first time, it truly feels like Samsung isn't treating its mobile and Bespoke arms as two completely different entities that happen to meet through the SmartThings platform.

Instead, Samsung is now actively trying to bring these worlds together through AI and cleverer features and create a more unified smart home experience for all.

These efforts are shown front and center in Samsung's new video, which perfectly sums up the company's newfound attitude toward its mobile and home appliances. These are no longer separate worlds. They're colliding into something bigger and greater — or so everyone, Samsung and fans alike, hope.

The story continues after the video

We've seen this push even at SDC 2024, where Samsung talked about both One UI and SmartThings in greater detail and confirmed that non-mobile devices, like smart TVs, will get the One UI treatment.

Samsung also decided to offer extensive firmware updates for smart TVs, similar to mobile devices, and support newer models for seven years.

Earlier in 2024, the company launched a new AI washing machine featuring a 7-inch touchscreen and deep integration with SmartThings. And its Bespoke fridge with a 32-inch screen got a new firmware update with apps like YouTube and a new dock, as well as a Generative wallpaper feature.

With Samsung committing to its new vision, we expect 2025 to have a similar tone and for Samsung to push even harder toward a unified ecosystem. That would be fantastic news for Samsung fans who own more than a mobile device and hope for a smarter home experience and deeper cross-device integration.
