Android 15 release time frame for Pixels is similar to One UI 7.0 Beta

Earlier this month, Google released the stable version of Android 15 by making its source code available at the Android Open Source Project (AOSP). It means that Samsung now has what it needs to develop the stable version of One UI 7.0. Sadly, the South Korean tech giant hasn’t even decided when it will roll out the One UI 7.0 Beta. Google, on the other hand, has seemingly come up with a date for the release of the stable version of the OS to Pixel devices.

According to a new report from Android Headlines, Google will start rolling out Android 15 to Pixel smartphones and tablets on 15 October 2024. The company will offer the new version of the OS to Pixel 6 and newer devices. Usually, the brand debuts a new version of Android on a new set of Pixel smartphones. This time, however, that wasn’t the case. That’s because it launched the Pixel 9 series two months earlier than usual and Android 15 wasn’t ready by then.

The story continues after the video…

Android 15 offers many new features. Samsung’s One UI 7.0 will offer even more features on top of that. Reportedly, the changes are going to be massive. Samsung may kick off the One UI 7.0 Beta Program right before the Samsung Developer Conference (SDC) 2024 on 3 October 2024, just like it made the One UI 6.0 Beta Program live last year right before the SDC 2023.
