Google I/O 2023 is going live later today, May 10. It should be an exciting keynote, even for Samsung fans, given that some of the things Google has in store for its customers may also affect Samsung's decisions in the foreseeable future. Here's all you need to know to catch the event live later today.

The Google I/O conference will kick off on at 1 PM ET / 10 AM PT / 7 PM CET. The event will take place at the Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View, California, and as usual, it will be hosted by Google CEO Sundar Pichai.

People around the world can stream Google I/O

Although Google I/O will take place in front of a small live audience, people all over the world will have the opportunity to livestream the event on their devices, whether it's mobile phones, tablets, TVs, and so on.

Once Google I/O kickstarts at 1 PM ET / 10 AM PT / 7 PM CET, Android and Pixel fans can use their internet-connected devices to visit Google's website or the official YouTube channel and watch the event live (embedded below)

At the event, Google intends to formally reveal Android 14, which will be the basis of Samsung's upcoming One UI 6.0 firmware update, expected to debut later this year. Google may also dive deeper into the subject of AI and services like Google Bard. In terms of hardware, Google may unveil a brand-new tablet — Google's first to bear the “Pixel” moniker — and the very-first Google foldable phone, i.e., the Pixel Fold, which the company already teased on Twitter. The Pixel Fold was also featured in a lengthy ad featuring NBA stars.

These products may have a big impact on Samsung. The Pixel Fold may be the first real competitor to the Galaxy Z Fold series in Western markets, and the Pixel Tablet may also persuade Samsung to expand its tablet portfolio, revise prices, and possibly offer new software features for the large-screen form factor. Google is even working on a DeX alternative, which could change the course of development for Samsung's own desktop environment.
