The Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 started receiving the One UI 6.1.1 update this week. Initially, availability seemed to be limited to Europe, but it turns out the update is out in many regions.

Never has a One UI update rolled out in as many markets on the same day as version 6.1.1, and that's not just the case for recent devices, as evident by the release for the Fold 3 and Flip 3.

One UI 6.1.1 update available worldwide for 2021's Galaxy Fold and Flip

One UI 6.1.1 for the two foldables is out in American countries such as the US and Brazil, in addition to Asian countries including India, Thailand, and Malaysia. The update isn't available in markets like South Korea and China yet, but we don't expect that to be the case for long.

If you own a Galaxy Z Fold 3 or Flip 3, you can check if One UI 6.1.1 is available by going into the device's Settings » Software update menu and hitting the Download and install button.

The Fold 3 and Flip 3 don't get any of One UI 6.1.1's Galaxy AI features, but the update is still a big one. It brings easier file management, improved multitasking, better health and fitness tracking, improved UI animations, and more. Also included in the update is the September 2024 security patch, though this may vary by country.
