3 reasons why you should reserve a Samsung Galaxy S25 today

Samsung's next Unpacked event is taking place in San Jose, California, on January 22nd. The company will take to the stage and unveil the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+ and the Galaxy S25 Ultra. Pre-orders will likely open that day, but Samsung is already taking reservations for the device.

Reservations are entirely different from pre-orders. You're basically putting your email down and Samsung gives you a $50 credit for free in return, no purchase necessary. If you decide to not buy the device once pre-orders already open, that's fine, it's not like you put any money down when reserving a device.

What that does ensure, though, is that you'll be among the first to receive your device when the pre-orders are shipped out. You'll also be much more likely to secure a color or configuration of your choice before the initial stock sells out and the delivery date slips by a couple of weeks.

For anyone who's interested in buying the Galaxy S25, reserving is a great way to extract more value out of the purchase. So you must see enough reasons to buy a new flagship, allow us to contribute three reasons to that list.

Reason 1: Galaxy S25 series gets much slimmer bezels

There's always a trade-off when it comes to increasing the display size while ensuring that the device remains comfortable to use one-handed. Slimming down the bezels squeezes as much screen real estate as possible.

Slim bezels also look very good, providing the device with a sleek look, and with the flat display panels on this service, it adds to the overall premium look and feel of Samsung's upcoming flagship series. Galaxy S25 gets slimmer bezels and we're all for it.

Reason 2: Faster Qi2-enabled wireless charging

Samsung hasn't made any major changes to wireless charging on its smartphones for a few years now, but that's finally changing in 2025. The company has already confirmed that the Galaxy S25 series supports the new Qi2 wireless charging standard.

Current Samsung flagships support wireless charging at 15W. Qi2 will bump up the wireless charging speeds to 25W, a considerable improvement for the user experience. This charging standard also allows for magnetic attachments to be used, and leaked images have revealed that this will be possible on the Galaxy S25 series.

Reason 3: A chance to win free money!

Who doesn't like free money? For the first time ever, Samsung is giving you the chance to win a $5,000 gift card if you reserve the Galaxy S25. This gift card can be used to purchase anything from the company's online store, so you can spend it on one of the best Samsung TVs or get one of its cool robot vacuums.

There's no charge to enter this giveaway for the $5,000 gift card from Samsung. You just need to visit its website and reserve a Galaxy S25. Remember, doing so also gets you an instant $50 discount on any Galaxy S25 device as well as up to $900 trade-in credit should you decide to exchange your current phone for the new flagship.

Samsung will officially unveil the Galaxy S25 series at its Unpacked event on January 22nd. Deliveries are likely to begin a couple of weeks after the event. The Galaxy S25 is shaping up to be a very promising series, with new Galaxy AI features, Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, and camera improvements. It would be worth your while to reserve a unit and get in on the ground floor of the action.
